Kevin Barry Fine Art is a leading international art consultancy, offering expert advice on fine art purchase and placement. We have been in business for over 20 years and know that an experienced fine art consultant working with high profile architects, interior designers, key private collectors, investors, and corporate, healthcare and hospitality brands can make the difference between an adequate project, and an award-winner. Our experts in Los Angeles, San Francisco & Las Vegas have assisted them through fine art consulting by sourcing and displaying exceptional modern and contemporary art for interior designers and are always grateful for the opportunity to work with the creative and talented members of the design community.

We believe that fine art is an integral part of an interior design. It intimately influences the atmosphere of a space. As a top fine art consultancy we’ll work with you from the beginning of an interior project, discussing the concept and aesthetics of a projected space and collaborating to source or produce art for interior designers that perfectly complements your project.

Launched in 1995 by Kevin Barry, we have established ourselves as one of the premier fine art consultancies in the country, with over 20 art and design experts working in three different showrooms sourcing art for interior designers. Our clients include Four Seasons, The Ritz Carlton, iHeart Radio and Kaiser Permanente to name a few, and we work with both recognized and emerging names in local and global contemporary art.

However, at our core we are still a family business. Kevin Barry heads the team in the Los Angeles showroom, while his daughter Allison and son John manage San Francisco and Las Vegas respectively. This close-knit background is intrinsic to the way we work. One-on-one with a client, we craft a bespoke solution that is tailored to your individual fine art needs.

We start by asking questions. What emotions are you trying to evoke? How should the final product look – and feel? How much emphasis do you want to place on value or aesthetic?

When a designer, architect or home owner comes to us for expert art consulting, we want to know what they know. We look at color boards, elevations, project plans, furniture ideas and budget. We find out if they have a theme, or a particular artist or media in mind.

Only after a thorough discussion and analysis of the project objectives, do we turn to the art. We work with a hand-picked selection of artists, specializing in a wide variety of genres, including interactive art and installations. Alternatively, we can source new work, either establishing and developing a relationship with a specific artist, or commissioning a custom piece through our in-house studio. You will work closely with an art consultant dedicated to sourcing unique and meaningful pieces for your project.

Every client is different, and our experience working with both private and corporate clients as well as sourcing art for hotels, and our healthcare art consultants collaborating on evidence-based artwork for hospitals, means you will work with a fine art consultant who intimately understands these differences and will design a process that is as bespoke and creative as the artwork.

Our fine art consultancy works out of show rooms in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco creating art for interior designers with a wide selection of established and emerging contemporary artists, cultivating personal relationships with each one to ensure we can source the perfect piece for a client. Creativity and persistence defines how we work, and has meant that our stable of works covers everything from Tom Wesselman, a global name from the Pop Art era, to contemporary sculptor John Helton, whose striking, large abstract pieces are inspired by the infinite networks and interactions of nature.

Over the past 20 years, we have established a rich roster of artists that is as diverse as our clients, using our expertise to beautifully complement a wide variety of styles and needs through expert fine art consulting.
