In order to provide “the perfect blend of comfort, care and active living,” Belmont Village needed elegant modern art to make it stand out. KBFA’s art consultants developed a calm, elegant mixed media art collection for this property that would help its new residents feel right at home.

To give the community a distinctly Chicago look and feel, the two largest art pieces in this project pay homage to the Windy City. A wall installation of opened books with the Chicago skyline superimposed on its pages is the centerpiece in one lounge area. In another common area, the entertainment center is framed by a wall mural collage of the Wrigley Field sign and other city scenes, a sight that will make any Cubs fan feel a swell of hometown pride.

If residents are looking for something more contemplative, they can find several beautiful abstract art pieces in the corridors and other lounge areas of Belmont Village. A white sculptural piece, a framed gold leafed fabric gallery wall, a textured metal series of orbs and framed spiral collages are just some of the other pieces of artwork awaiting residents on move-in day. With art consultancy from Kevin Barry Fine Art, Belmont Village residents will have a beautiful view no matter where they are on the property.

“Working with Belmont Village on their first property located right in the city of Chicago gave us an opportunity to curate art for a space that would make anyone feel at home and proud of their city. Chicagoans now have a first-class option to stay in the city they love on into their golden years, and that’s a wonderful thing.”
